HAVVA Technology & Research

HAVVAponics
Technology

Every layer has a purpose.
Together, they make the farm.

Growing methods, proprietary components, farm engineering and connected observations, designed to work together.

The system behind the farm

Five layers.
One working system.

HAVVAponics is HAVVA's integrated approach to farming technology. We connect soilless growing methods and water management with the physical infrastructure, monitoring and operating routines a farm needs.

For commercial operators, institutions and home growers, the starting point is the same: match the technology to the crop, the site and the people who will use it. The configuration changes with the project.

01 / Grow Tech

Start with
the living system.

A growing system begins with the crop, not the hardware. Light, water, nutrition and the grower's routine influence how a farm should be designed.

Choose the growing method
Aquaponics, hydroponics and other soilless approaches are selected for the site's resources and production or learning objectives.
Plan the crop journey
Nursery space, transplanting, growing and harvesting are considered together, including access for daily care.
Prepare the people
Operator training connects the installed system with water checks, crop observation, cleaning and maintenance.

02 / Core Tech

Engineering, down
to the component.

Two granted Malaysian patents support the vertical-grower and passive fluid-distribution engineering behind these components.

Grower360 modular growing components, studio presentation

Malaysian patent MY-210474-A

Grower360

A stackable growing component for repeatable tower assembly. Its planting areas and internal fluid path bring structure and irrigation together in a modular unit.

Granted 24 September 2025Owned by HAVVA Agrotech Sdn. Bhd.

HAVVA Fluid Dispenser, studio presentation

Malaysian patent MY-201499-A

HAVVA Fluid Dispenser

A passive component that uses gravity and guided channels to distribute nutrient solution through a planting tower. It is fluid engineering, not an electronic dosing device.

Granted 27 February 2024Invented and owned by Loo Ping Look, HAVVA's Chief Executive Officer.

03 / Architecture

Design the connections.
Not just the layout.

Structure, growing space, water routes and maintenance access need to work as one installation. HAVVA plans these relationships around the site and its operating team.

01

Growing infrastructure

In our tower layout, vertical towers sit directly on RDP pipes, with nursery troughs between growing rows.

02

Site integration

Structures, irrigation and civil, mechanical and electrical interfaces are coordinated within the agreed project scope.

03

Everyday access

Circulation and working space accommodate inspection, planting, harvesting and maintenance.

04 / Smart Tech

Keep the farm
in view.

Connected observations help a grower understand what is happening between visits to the crop. HAVVA integrates environmental and water-quality monitoring, including pH, according to the installation.

The useful part is the connection: a measurement linked to a location, a time and an operating decision.

How observations become useful

Environment

Observe the growing environment with sensors selected for the site and crop.

Water conditions

Bring water-quality observations, such as pH, into the grower's daily checks.

Connected records

Review observations over time and share context with the farm team and technical support.

05 / AI Tech

From crop images
to better questions.

Fixed cameras capture and upload images for AI-assisted analysis of vegetable growth. HAVVA is also developing mobile crop observation using a farm-patrol robot.

This work connects image capture, farm context and crop-health research. The aim is to support a grower's judgement with useful observations, rather than treat an image alone as a complete diagnosis.

From development to deployment

Monitoring, AI analysis and automatic control are different capabilities. The functions available for a project are defined through its development, validation and agreed scope.

Across the layers

Observe. Interpret. Act.

  1. 01

    Capture

Sensor measurements and crop images record conditions at the farm.

  2. 02

    Understand

Data, site context and available analysis help the team examine changes.

  3. 03

    Respond

The grower or technical team decides what to inspect or adjust.

Published research

Questions from farming.
Research you can trace.

HAVVA has supported university research into urban farming and plant health. These publications identify the authors, findings and acknowledged funding role.

Published studies address their stated research questions; they are not certifications of HAVVA products or guarantees of farm performance.
